DENVER, CO – March 26, 2008 – Denver Inside and Out has launched a new heritage tour based on the 1922 Denver Mint Robbery in which participants unwittingly become accessories in Denver’s most famous crime mystery. The walking tour takes place in downtown Denver and visits many of Denver’s most noted landmarks.
Using old fashioned elbow grease and shoe leather, participants get to unravel one of Colorado's most notorious crimes. Head scratching clues combined with characters from the heist who come to life through live street theater make this an experience participants will never forget.
“This is a great way for tourists and locals to discover what downtown Denver has to offer," said Amy Cashel, founder of Denver Inside and Out. "Participants get wrapped up in piecing together the clues as the Mint robbery is one of Denver’s most fascinating stories."
Starting March 26, 2008 (weather permitting), the tour runs Friday – Sunday beginning promptly at 10am and runs on the half hour. The tour begins at Union Station and takes 2 ½-3 hours to complete at a leisurely walking pace. The cost of the tour is $40 for adults (12 and older), $35 for kids (6-11) and Free for kids age 5 and under. Reservations are required and can be made by visiting www.DenverInsideandOut.com or by calling (303) 330-9871.
